Undisclosed Speyside (M) Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection Single Cask #49 Whisky 17 Year Old · 2005 Vintage
Out of stock
Distilled at Speyside’s most prestigious distillery, close to the banks of the River Spey, just outside the village of Aberlour.
This full bodied, richly sherried single malt whisky was matured in a single 1st fill Oloroso Sherry cask, before being bottled at cask strength, unchill-filtered, with no added colour.
Although the distillery in undisclosed, we can confirm that it begins with the letter M, and would be a favourite of Mr Bond.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with rich mahogany undertones and copper highlights.
Nose
Opulent and dark on the nose, the whisky offers waves of rich dried fruit—figs, dates and prunes—braided with orange zest and burnt sugar. A deep Sherry cloak—walnut, almond, and hints of toffee and cocoa—sits atop warm spice: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Substantial oak, leather and a whisper of vanilla emerge, all carried by an unctuous, cask-strength shimmer that hints at the full-bodied, Sherried heart.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this cask-strength Speyside coats the palate with dark raisin, fig and orange zest, deepened by burnt sugar and cacao. Rich Oloroso sherry threads dried fruit with cinnamon and nutmeg, while velvety oak lends warmth and a long, plush finish of lingering sherried sweetness.
Finish
Lengthy, decadently sherried finish that lingers with dark fruit compote, toasted almond, and cacao from the oloroso cask, slowly unfurling into velvety spice and polished oak. Warm cask-strength heat coats the palate, leaving a dry, elegant crescendo of oloroso sweetness fading to coffee and walnut notes.
