Undisclosed Orkney Infrequent Flyers Single Cask #521 Whisky 16 Year Old · 2003 Vintage
Out of stock
A superb 16 year old single malt from Orkney's most famous distillery. This was our favourite whisky from the first batch of Infrequent Flyers, packed with sweet honey, bold tropical fruit flavours, and a subtle hint of smoke on the finish.
The Alistair Walker Whisky Company was founded in 2018 and specialises in bottling Single Cask releases of Scotch Single Malt and Single Grain whiskies. The inaugural release of their flagship brand "Infrequent Fliers" was released in July 2019, with the focus being on lesser known distilleries that are of excellent quality, but have never been widely or consistently available. All small batch releases that are bottles at cask strength, with natural colour, and un-chill filtered.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Burnished amber with honey-gold highlights and coppery edges.
Nose
Opulent honey notes rise, giving way to a sun-kissed tropical bouquet of pineapple, mango and guava. Subtle sherry warmth adds almond and orange zest, while a faint wisp of smoke threads the aroma, hinting at depth and balance in this Orkney single malt.
Palate
Silky entry of honeyed sweetness coats the palate, awakening tropical fruit—mango, pineapple, and papaya—with a bright citrus lift. A subtle wisp of smoke drifts through the mid-palate, finishing long, creamy, and lightly spiced, with gentle oak in the background.
Finish
Rich honey sweetness coats the finish, giving way to vibrant tropical fruit that lingers on the palate. A delicate veil of smoke threads through the tail, leaving a warm, refined aftertaste that slowly fades.
