Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany and copper highlights.
Nose
Rich dried fruits dominate, raisin, prune and fig, mounted with dark chocolate, toffee and vanilla. Sherry warmth blankets toasted oak, while orange zest and subtle spice (cinnamon, nutmeg) lift the bouquet. A polished malt sweetness and a hint of leather emerge, giving an elegant, old-world aroma that promises depth from a single-cask Highland whisky.
Palate
Silky and full on the palate, sherry-rich fruit unfolds—raisins, fig and date—mingling with dark chocolate, orange zest and toffee. Nutty almond notes and refined oak provide structure, while the whisky’s natural oils from non chill filtration give a creamy, coating mouthfeel. A long, warm finish with lingering sweetness and delicate spice.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish unfolds with cocoa-dusted oak and sherried sweetness. Dark plum and fig linger with a whisper of spice, while resinous notes and a subtle peppery warmth deepen the trail. The finish resolves to a honeyed glow that lingers, inviting another contemplative sip.
