A UK exclusive single cask release from Tomatin.

Distilled on 6 June 2008 and bottled on 7 June 2018 from a single first fill ex-Bourbon cask which produced just 250 bottles.

A real creamyness emerges with a drop of water but i love the spicy white chocolate element to this first ever 100% Ex-Bourbon single cask release from Tomatin.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with a warm, sunlit glow and a subtle honeyed sheen.

Nose

Creamy white chocolate leads the aroma, unfolding into egg custard tart and soft meringue, with sugared almonds, vanilla wafers and lime cheesecake notes weaving a bright, dessert-like bouquet.

Palate

Vanilla and spicy oak soften into white chocolate bonbons, white nougat and sugared almonds, with a ginger pop and lime cordial lift.

Finish

Spicy vanilla fudge and white chocolate meringue linger, woven with chocolate-lime sweets, icing and sponge cake. A hint of sherbet fizz keeps it vibrant, while ripe kiwi fruit adds a fresh, zingy lift to a creamy, dessert-like finish.

(Tom-AH-tin) Established 1897, the Tomatin distillery can be found in the very remote Highland countryside about 25 miles south of Inverness. Like many distilleries over the years, Tomatin has experienced its share of closures. In February 1986 two Japanese companies (Takara Shuzo and Okura & Co.) purchased the distillery, of which Takara Shuzo proudly remains the majority shareholder.
