Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and coppery, sunlit highlights.
Nose
Opulent sherry floods the nose with dark raisin, fig and prune, punctuated by orange marmalade and toffee. Rich vanilla, almond and cocoa weave through spice—cinnamon and clove—over warm, aged oak, with a whisper of leather.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, this Macallan unfurls a cascade of dried fruit—raisin, fig and date—layered with candied orange, dark chocolate, and a kiss of toasted almond. Rich sherry oak delivers warm spice—cinnamon and clove—while a full, velvety mouthfeel coats the tongue. The finish is long, warming, with fruit, spice and a subtle roasted-nut echo.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with luxurious sherry sweetness—raisin, fig and orange zest—tinged by cocoa and toffee. Spices of cinnamon and clove linger against refined oak, fading into dark chocolate and espresso in a warm, dessert-like finale.
