The Macallan Concept No. 3 brings together the worlds of whisky and design through this collaboration with David Carson. As one of the most influential and revolutionary contemporary graphic designers, Carson has brought his unique perspective and method to the design of Concept No. 3. His design is inspired by time spent at The Macallan's estate working alongside whisky maker Polly Logan.

Sweet fresh pear and apricot, gentle oak spice, with warm cinnamon and ginger, followed by vanilla and sweet citrus.

Fresh apple and pear combine with oak spice and delicate herbal notes, leading to a rich, creamy vanilla sweetness.

Medium sweetness with smooth, buttery pastry notes.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
