Deep copper-amber with a luminous sunset-gold glow and mahogany undertones.

Nose

Opulent sherry-driven bouquet with dried fruits at the core—raisins, fig, and orange zest—woven with toasted almond, vanilla, and a kiss of toffee. Spices drift softly—cinnamon and clove—over warm oak, yielding a luxurious, inviting perfume.

Palate

Silky and full-bodied, the palate is sherried and rich with dried fruits—figs, raisins, and candied orange—woven with toffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate. Cinnamon and nutmeg lift through toasted oak, delivering a long, warm finish.

Finish

Elegant, long finish of dried fruits, orange peel and spice, with subtle cocoa and polished oak lingering to a warm, refined fade.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
