Opulent, aged Macallan aroma: sherry-kissed oak layered with dried fruit—raisin, fig and date—bright orange zest, toffee and dark chocolate. Subtle leather, tobacco and cinnamon spice frame the bouquet, hinting at a long, elegant maturity.

Palate

Silky and opulent, this palate unfolds with fig and raisin, dried apricot, and dark chocolate, layered over polished oak. Rich sherry sweetness tempers nutty notes and spice, with a gentle warming backbone from 46% ABV. A long, refined finish of cocoa, orange zest, and toasted wood lingers.

Finish

Long and opulent, the finish unfolds with dried fruits, orange zest and a touch of dark chocolate, layered over silky oak. Spiced warmth lingers, evolving into a honeyed, refined tail that slowly fades to toasted wood and a whisper of leather.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
