Nose

Sherry-kissed with orange zest and dried fruits—raisins, fig and date—woven through polished oak. Vanilla and caramel drift in, while gentle spice of cinnamon and nutmeg lingers, hinting at cocoa and almond in the finish.

Palate

Silky, sherried mouthfeel with dried fig and orange zest, accented by warm cinnamon and clove. Rich vanilla, toffee and almond mingle with subtle oak, leading to a cocoa‑hugged, lingering finish.

Finish

Long and elegant, this finish unfolds with warming spice and orange zest, layered over dark toffee and dried fruit. Sherry-tinted oak lingers, revealing cacao and almond notes before a silky, persistent warmth fades.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
