Bright gold with a warm, sunlit amber shimmer.

Nose

Opulent sherry bouquet with dark toffee and caramel, unveiling raisin, fig and orange zest. Spices of cinnamon and clove mingle with vanilla oak, while almond and a touch of leather linger. Bright, refined, and luxurious.

Palate

Velvety and opulent, this Macallan pours a rich sherried sweetness with dark fruit cake, raisins and fig, woven with orange zest, toffee and cocoa. Subtle vanilla and spice thread through polished oak, delivering a long, luxurious finish with cinnamon, clove and a touch of leather.

Finish

Long and luxurious, the finish lingers with dried sherry fruit, orange zest, and dark chocolate, tempered by cinnamon spice and toasted oak for a warm, velvety finale.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
