Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany depths and a warm, sun-kissed glow, rimmed with ruby-tinged edges.
Nose
Intense, sherried nose with dried figs, raisins and prunes, lifted by orange zest and dark cherry. Rich toffee and cocoa drift over treacle, while walnut, leather and warming spices—cinnamon and clove—linger against polished oak. A resinous depth hints at the cask-strength richness to come.
Palate
Powerful, velvety and deeply rich, this cask-strength Macallan unfurls dark fruits—dates, fig and raisin—glazed with toffee and dark chocolate, a syrupy sweetness underpinning the finish. Spices bloom: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, with a hint of espresso. The palate coats warmly, framed by orange zest and toasted oak, yielding a long, refined finish with tannic grip and dignified complexity.
Finish
Long, opulent finish with sherry‑rich oak and dark fruit. Prune and raisin linger, entwined with orange zest, cocoa, and toasted almond. Cinnamon and clove spice threads through, leaving a velvety warmth that gradually fades to a refined, lingering sweetness.
