The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old forms part of Macallan's Sherry Oak Collection which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. A full bodied palate of mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours is complimented by a light mahogany natural colour.
Very scarce Macallan 1989 vintage of this all time classic bottled in 2007. As you probably know even the current 18 year old Macallan's are very thin on the ground at the moment.

Colour
Light mahogany with a warm, natural glow and subtle honeyed amber undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma envelops dried fig and raisin, interwoven with candied orange peel. Rich oak and warm ginger spice rise, complemented by cocoa, leather and a touch of caramel sweetness, all carried on a mahogany-tinged, velvety perfume.
Palate
Full-bodied palate of mature oak, with warming ginger and ripe raisin flavours, underpinned by rich sherry sweetness. Luxurious, velvety texture leads to a long, warm finish.
Finish
Long, warm finish of mature oak, ginger and raisin that lingers with a sherry-deep sweetness. The spice fades to a refined, mahogany-tinted echo, leaving a lingering sense of richness and balance.
