Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction celebrates the unmistakable characteristics of first-fill American oak maturation, combined with the influence of hand-selected refill casks.
The American Oak (Quercus Alba) Oloroso sherry casks are crafted in Spain for over six years. Nothing is left to chance, from the air drying of the staves in the Spanish sun, to the manufacturing and toasting of the cask by experienced coopers – and finally the Oloroso sherry seasoning of the new cask in the bodegas of Jerez.
This is a time honoured process of craft and quality that, over time, imparts vanilla and rich fruit flavours, along with a wonderfully natural amber colour.

Colour
Natural amber with a warm, sunlit golden-amber glow.
Nose
Vanilla-forward with lush orchard fruit, a gentle toasted oak backbone, and a delicate Oloroso sherry sheen from first-fill American oak. Subtle almond spice and refined sweetness linger, hinting at a warm, sun-kissed richness.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, the palate opens with vanilla and caramel from first-fill American oak, evolving into dried fruit and fig. Subtle spice from the oak supports a gentle Oloroso-driven sweetness, with a creamy texture and an amber, long finish that lingers with refined warmth.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with creamy vanilla and toasted oak, lifted by Oloroso sweetness. Dried fruit, fig and orange zest drift through the palate, followed by velvety spice and a subtle almond nuance. The warmth lingers, leaving a refined, amber kiss of oak.
