Tamdhu Highland Single Malt Whisky 18 Year Old
Out of stock
A fantastic dram and very much underrated, very light and smooth with subtle hints of fruit and spice. This is the only modern day offical release as the distillery has been mothballed, but there is news that production may restart in 2012 which makes this bottling very much a future collectable.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Luminous golden amber with honeyed bronze undertones.
Nose
Delicate, light aroma of orchard fruit and creamy vanilla, with a gentle sherried sweetness. Subtle spice—nutmeg and clove—drifts through the barley, while a trace of almond and honey adds quiet depth to this elegant Highland dram.
Palate
Silky and light on the palate, with a soft sweetness that carries subtle fruit and spice. Ripe orchard notes mingle with citrus zest and a touch of dried fruit from the sherry casks. Nutmeg and cinnamon drift across creamy vanilla and toffee, all wrapped in satin-like oak. The finish is long and refined, leaving a gentle, warming spice echo.
Finish
Silky and long, the finish glides with orchard fruit and soft spice, carried by warm oak. Faint sherry sweetness lingers, returning as almond and vanilla before fading to a clean, refined finale.
