Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, sherry-kissed glow.
Nose
Delicate, fruit-forward aroma of pear and green apple, enveloped by a soft kiss of sherry. Toasted almond, vanilla, and a whisper of cocoa emerge from the background, joined by dried orange and fig. A refined, warmly nutty bouquet that hints at the cask’s aging and Strathmill’s characteristic quiet elegance.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied, the palate opens with ripe pear and pink-tinged apple, joined by rich sherried fruit. Dried fig, raisin and almond deepen the sweetness, while cocoa and a kiss of nutmeg and clove bring gentle spice. Oak is refined, leading to a long, warm finish with lingering fruit, sweetness and a subtle toasted-nut impression.
Finish
Silky, long finish of warm sherry sweetness, with orange zest, dried fig, and almond. Toffee, cocoa and a kiss of spice linger, carried by subtle oak and nutty fringe that slowly fades to a refined, lasting echo.
