Tasting Notes
Colour
A deep, honeyed amber with luminous copper-gold highlights and a reddish bronze edge.
Nose
An opulent bouquet of antique oak and Sherry greets the nose: orange zest, dried fig and raisin, honeyed malt and almond paste. Cinnamon and clove drift with subtle leather and cocoa, adding depth to a refined, aged sweetness. Elegant, poised, and distinctly Strathisla in its maturity.
Palate
Velvety and refined, this Strathisla delivers polished oak, dried orange peel and orchard honey with creamy toffee. Dried figs and raisins mingle with vanilla, almond and a touch of cocoa from sherry-cask maturation. A gentle spice threads through, finishing long, elegant, and quietly noble.
Finish
An exquisitely long, refined finish that lingers with sherried sweetness, fig and date, cocoa and orange zest, woven with toasted almond and warm spice. The oak unfurls gently, leaving a silky, tobacco-kissed warmth that softly fades into a perfumed, lasting echo.
