Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Sherry-tinged oak releases dark fruit—raisin, fig and treacle—paired with cocoa, vanilla and toffee. Subtle peat smoke weaves through orange zest, almond and spice, while maritime brine and waxy coastal notes lend a salty, lacquered edge, yielding a warm, resinous aroma from the small-cask maturation.
Palate
Full-bodied and richly oaked, this Springbank coats the palate with a raisiny, sherry-sweet core. Peat and coastal salt rise through dark fruit, fig and prune, with hints of toffee, almond, and vanilla. The small cask maturation gives a bracing, resinous oak grip, plus peppery spice and a smoky, maritime finish that lingers warmly against the palate.
Finish
Long, warming finish with a subtle peat smoke lingering over rich sherry fruit. Dark chocolate, dried fruit and almond emerge as the oak recedes, yielding maritime warmth and a gentle coastal salt tickle. The finale dries with spice and caramel, a polished Campbeltown echo fading slowly.
