Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber with copper-gold hues and a warm bronze glow.
Nose
Aromas surge with Marsala-wrapped fruit: dried fig and raisin, orange zest, and a touch of burnt sugar, rested on vanilla-bourbon sweetness. Peat smoke and sea-salt swirl in, while toasted almond, spiced oak, and a cocoa kiss lend a polished, resinous finish.
Palate
Opulent and warm, this palate fuses Marsala-kissed sweetness with Springbank’s malt. Dried fig, raisin and toffee braid with almond, vanilla and cocoa, while wisps of peat and coastal salt add depth. Rich oak and spice—cinnamon and clove—bind the finish, delivering a full-bodied, velvety mouthfeel at 58% ABV. Long, warming finish with fruit, smoke and marmalade.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish pours Marsala-tinged sweetness—ripe raisin, fig and orange marmalade—carried on toffee and toasted oak. A whisper of coastal smoke lingers, with vanilla and spice blooming before fading to a rich, lingering warmth.
