Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-gold highlights and a dusky mahogany core; a glossy, sherry-warmed hue that glows with aged richness.
Nose
Orchard fruit shines first—ripe pear and crisp apple—under a sherried sweetness. Honeyed vanilla, toffee and dried raisins rise with orange zest and toasted almond, while soft spice and polished oak lend a warm, refined backbone. A luxurious, resinous lift hints at a long, slow maturation in a single cask.
Palate
Velvety, full-bodied palate with a gentle sherry sweetness. Rich plum and dried fig unfold into orange zest, roasted almond and coffee bean. Dark chocolate and toffee glide across the mid-palate, while clove, cinnamon and toasted oak weave warm spice with resinous wood. A long, warming finish lingers with fruit, spice and a final glow of oak.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with dark fruit, cocoa, and toasted oak, woven with orange zest and a kiss of spice. The warmth slowly ebbs into a velvety sweetness, leaving a refined, lingering afterglow.
