Tasting Notes

Nose

Rich and inviting with ripe figs, dark raisins and toffee pudding. Layers of honey, orange marmalade and dates emerge, soft oak spice and a wisp of espresso.

Palate

Lusciously smooth and full-bodied. Sweet dried fruits, caramel and brown sugar. Notes of cocoa, cinnamon and warm spice develop alongside velvety malt.

Finish

Long, warming and indulgent. Molasses, spiced oak and dark honey linger with echoes of raisins, chocolate and subtle citrus zest.

Penderyn
(pen-DERR-in) Penderyn was founded in 2000 in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, becoming the first whisky distillery in Wales in more than a century. The idea began in the late 1990s, when a group of friends set out to revive Welsh whisky, and the first Penderyn single malt was launched on St David’s Day in 2004 in the presence of Prince Charles.
