Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm coppery glow and hints of tawny mahogany.
Nose
Coastal brine and lemon zest rise with warm toffee and ripe orchard fruit, then deepen into dark fig, prune and almond from the sherry cask finish. A halo of cocoa, vanilla and toasted oak lingers, elegantly maritime yet richly indulgent.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, the palate opens with sherry-depth—fig, raisin and orange zest layered over caramel and toasted oak. Sea-salt nuance and a wisp of gentle smoke mingle with baking spices, hinting at cinnamon and clove. Plush yet precise, the finish stretches long with cocoa, almond undertones and a refined, lingering sweetness.
Finish
Silky, enduring finish with sherry richness that lingers over Oban’s coastal malt. Dried fig and raisin sweetness mingle with orange zest, cocoa and subtle spice, while a whisper of sea air threads through toasted oak, leaving a warming, elegant glow.
