The first spring seasonal release from Nc'nean's new series of whiskies, Huntress. This series is all about the ethos of discovery, of walking our own path, and is inspired by Neacheohain. The Queen of Spirits in ancient Gaelic legend, a goddess of wild animals, the hills the rivers and the moon. A huntress.
This series brings to light ongoing pursuit of new flavours in whisky making - our love for innovation. Excitingly, our 2022 release is the first featuring one of our yeast trials. Yeast is fundamental to making whisky, creating not just alcohol, but also the most intriguing flavours. Unconventionally, this whisky has been created using three yeast varieties, including one commonly used in rum production.

Nose
Mineral brightness meets a tropical fruit glow and honeycomb sweetness, lifted by a whisper of sherry-cask influence. Yeast-driven complexity adds a creamy, sun-warmed depth, inviting a curious, adventurous note.
Palate
Silky, mineral-etched palate with bright tropical fruits—pineapple, mango, guava—complemented by honeycomb sweetness. Creamy yet crisp, it unfurls to a warm, honeyed finish framed by citrus zest and a whisper of saline minerality.
Finish
Long, mineral-driven finish with tropical fruit brightness and a honeycomb sweetness. Oak echoes softly, a whisper of spice lingers, and the glow dissolves into a warm, honeyed fade that remains delicately sweet and refined.
