The first spring seasonal release from Nc'nean's new series of whiskies, Huntress. This series is all about the ethos of discovery, of walking our own path, and is inspired by Neacheohain. The Queen of Spirits in ancient Gaelic legend, a goddess of wild animals, the hills the rivers and the moon. A huntress.

This series brings to light ongoing pursuit of new flavours in whisky making - our love for innovation. Excitingly, our 2022 release is the first featuring one of our yeast trials. Yeast is fundamental to making whisky, creating not just alcohol, but also the most intriguing flavours. Unconventionally, this whisky has been created using three yeast varieties, including one commonly used in rum production.

Tasting notes: Rich minerality, tropical fruits, honeycomb.

(Nook-nee-an) Nc'nean is one of the most interesting distilleries in Scotland. It lies at Drimnin on the very isolated Morvern peninsula, overlooking the Sound of Mull and Tobermory Harbour. The distillery was started by Annabel Thomas; Thomas left her job in London in 2013 and spent four years raising funds for the distillery. Distilling began in 2017, and the first Whisky debuted in 2020.   Sustainability is a key driving force for Nc'nean; it was the first distillery in the UK to reach net zero carbon emissions during Whisky production and 100% recycled glass is used in the bottling process (all of which is done by hand at the distillery). They are reknown for producing fruity, light and creamy whiskies with delicate floral notes.
