Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and a lacquered mahogany edge, a warm, luxurious glow.
Nose
Opulent, sherried nose with immediate depth: dark figs, plum and raisin, folded into rich toffee and burnt sugar. Spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—lend zesty orange peel and espresso notes, while polished oak frames a savory leather and tobacco undercurrent. A luxurious, lingering warmth.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this Mortlach coats the palate in luxurious warmth. Dark fruits—fig, date, raisin— mingle with orange zest and roasted almond, tempered by rich sherry notes of cocoa, toffee and espresso. Spices—clove, cinnamon, nutmeg—emerge against subtle oak tannins, delivering a long, warming finish with a peppery edge.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with sherry depth. Dried cherry and fig meld with dark chocolate, while wisps of clove and espresso ripple through the warmth. Oak looms softly in the background, leaving a refined, resinous sweetness that lingers generously on the palate.
