Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense antique amber with luminous copper-gold highlights and a mahogany-tinged depth.
Nose
Rich sherry-soaked aromas rise in a velvet cloak: dark plum and fig compote with raisin, touched by burnt sugar and antique oak. Leather and cocoa deepen, with coffee and warming spice—cinnamon and clove—framed by orange zest and a whisper of old library. A refined, time-worn bouquet announcing a storied 50-year maturation.
Palate
Silky, expansive palate with refined sweetness of fig and raisin, layered with chocolate and toffee. Orange zest and subtle spice brighten the mid-palate as rich oak and leather provide depth. Velvety tannins frame a long, polished finish, carrying coffee, dark chocolate and hints of Christmas cake and aged sherry.
Finish
Long, luxurious and gently warming, the finish unfolds in waves of rich sherry and polished oak. Dried fig and date mingle with dark chocolate, while hints of leather and warming spice—clove and nutmeg—linger, echoing into a slow, elegant fade.
