Mackmyra Svensk Ek is matured for 7-9 years in Swedish oak, ex-Oloroso, and ex-Bourbon casks. Sweet and fruity at first with a dry, savoury, spicy finish.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Sappy oak and ginger mingle with milky rice pudding, flinty minerality, smoked almonds, and bright elderflower and lime, finished with earthy undertones.

Palate

Toasted vanilla leads the palate, with ginger biscuits and herbal lozenges, then aromatic spices weave through ripe orchard fruits—stewed apple and pear—delivering a soft, succulent sweetness framed by a subtle, savoury edge.

Finish

Rice pudding and vanilla drift into a sweet, sappy oak finish, lifted by lime pie and pear drops; gingersnaps trail with sugared almonds, leaving a warm, confectionary glow.
