Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with mahogany undertones and a warm copper glow.

Nose

On the nose, sweet peat smoke rides over tarmac with treacle tart and tea-steeped prunes. Sherry-soaked sultanas mingle with orange oil and toffee apples, crowned by a generous slice of Black Forest gâteau.

Palate

More of that tarmac and sweet peat smoke, toasted granary bread smeared with salted butter and orange marmalade; Jamaica ginger cake; dark chocolate–covered coffee beans; and a warming, mingling wood spice.

Finish

An enthralling, long finish that lingers with the same captivating warmth and depth as the nose and palate, leaving an echo of dark chocolate, wood spice and peat.
