Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a radiant copper-gold core and a warm honey edge. The colour glows with richness and age, like sunlit amber glass with bronze-tinged depth.
Nose
Opulent sherried bouquet of ripe orchard fruit and orange zest, layered over dusky oak. Dried fig and date mingle with almond, honey and vanilla, while cinnamon and clove drift through a warm, resinous finish. At 61.2%, the aroma feels luxurious, refined, and multi-faceted, hinting at rare malts character and classic Linkwood elegance.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, this Linkwood carries a bold sherry-flecked sweetness. Ripe fig and raisin mingle with dark chocolate, orange zest and toasted almond, while warming spice—cinnamon and clove—rides a velvet vanilla and oak backbone. A generous, lingering warmth from the high ABV frames a long, refined finish.
Finish
An expansive, warming finish that lingers with toasted oak and sherry’s resinous sweetness. Dried fig and orange zest unfold into a gentle nutty core, with cocoa and spice lingering softly as the alcohol tames to a refined, elegant fade.
