Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense, dark amber with mahogany hues and a warm, tawny glow.
Nose
Opulent PX-driven aroma blankets the glass with dark fruit: fig, date and black raisin, lacquered in toffee and molasses. Notes of almond paste, cocoa and toasted oak mingle with a lift of orange zest and cinnamon, revealing creamy sweetness and a poised, warming spice.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, the palate unveils a syrupy chorus of fig, raisin and date, kissed by Pedro Ximénez sweetness. Burnt sugar, toffee and dark chocolate mingle with espresso and spice, while orange zest lifts the finish. Rich, velvety oiliness coats the tongue, balanced by sturdy oak and a long, warming, dessert-like finish.
Finish
An opulent, long finish of sun-dried fruit and PX syrup, with dark chocolate and walnut notes lingering on the palate. Dried fig, raisin and orange zest weave through warm spice, while oak and subtle tannin leave a velvety, enduring sweetness that coats the mouth.
