Nose
Opulent sherry-kissed nose with dried figs, dates and plump raisins, tinted by orange zest. Dark chocolate and espresso rise, paired with tobacco, leather and cedar. A ribbon of cinnamon and clove threads through velvety oak and vanilla, hinting at a stately age and the distillery’s final, silent years.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, this Karuizawa unfolds with dark chocolate and dried fig, layered with raisin and treacle. Rich lacquered oak supports a whisper of smoke, while black pepper, clove and spice weave through velvet tannins. The finish is long, warming and refined, with lingering fruit and a subtle, smoky elegance.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish that lingers with dark chocolate and oak spice, a whisper of smoke and dried fruit, and a velvet warmth. Cocoa, tobacco and leather deepen, fading into a resinous ember of sweetness that leaves a refined, lasting reminder of Karuizawa's silent legacy.
