A rare Japanese single malt from the closed Karuizawa distillery, this 29 year old was distilled in 1984 and bottled from single cask number #7802. Long maturation has produced a powerful, sherry-driven style for which Karuizawa is famed.
Expect intense aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruits and polished oak. The palate is rich and concentrated, with notes of black cherry, cocoa, treacle, roasted nuts and firm spice, finishing long, dry and complex with lingering wood and sherry influence.
Bottled at natural cask strength in very limited numbers, it is prized for both its depth of flavour and exceptional rarity.
