Kamiki ORIGINAL features a distinctive second maturation process, where the whisky is aged a second time in Yoshino Sugi (Japanese Cedar) casks.

This unique finishing imparts an exceptionally smooth flavor, with a subtle sandalwood aroma on the nose and a refreshing hint of green tea in the finish. This innovative maturation process makes Kamiki the first whisky in the world to be finished in Japanese Cedar casks.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with a sunlit honey glow and a touch of copper warmth.

Nose

Subtle sandalwood on the nose, with a delicate cedar whisper from the Yoshino Sugi cask finish.

Palate

Silky and refined, with cedar-tinged depth from the Japanese cedar finish. A gentle sandalwood warmth coats the palate, supported by soft grain sweetness and a crisp, green-tea lift that lingers into a clean, refreshing finish.

Finish

An exceptionally smooth finish with bright green tea notes that linger, carried by a cool cedar undertone and a clean, refined conclusion.
