Bottled for The First Editions range, this Jura was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2025 at 13 years old from single sherry cask #21866. Released at a natural strength of 53.5% ABV, with an outturn of 274 bottles, it was matured in a sherry hogshead.
Jura’s island style often works particularly well with sherry wood when the cask is allowed to add depth without masking the spirit, and that feels very much the case here. The hogshead brings an extra layer of sweet spice, citrus zest and dried herbs, while the whisky still keeps the soft coastal character and gentle smoky edge that suit Jura so well.

Nose
Sherry hogshead exerts a rich bouquet of raisin and fig, lifted by bright citrus zest and a halo of warm spice—cinnamon and clove. Dried herbs drift over a soft coastal breeze, with a gentle, smoky undercurrent that keeps Jura’s sea-air character vibrant and inviting.
Palate
Sherry-cask depth coats Jura’s coastal core with sweet spice, citrus zest and dried herbs. On the palate, fig and raisin mingle with orange peel, cocoa and cinnamon, while a soft maritime smoke threads through. The balance remains bright and refined, finishing warm, peppery and long.
Finish
Long and warm, the finish carries coastal smoke with sherry-sweet spice and citrus zest. Dried herbs linger as the warmth recedes, leaving a refined, lingering sweetness.
