Jura Elements - Earth Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1999 Vintage
Out of stock
Earth is their heavily peated expression from the elements range and is in our opinion the best in the series notwithstanding that it's extremely rare to find a peated Jura.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany undertones and a rich honey glow.
Nose
A bold maritime peat aroma dominates: smoke, iodine and sea spray mingle with mineral earth and damp forest floor. Sherry-cask sweetness threads through—fig and raisin—while vanilla, spice and a hint of leather and ash deepen the complexity, yielding a fiercely elegant, coastal-peat bouquet.
Palate
Bold peat smoke anchors the palate, with earthy dampness, ash and a hint of coal. Briny coastal notes fold into rich sherry sweetness: figs, raisins, dark chocolate, while spice and vanilla add warmth. A mineral, mossy core keeps it dry and refined, with a soft, velvety texture. Long, peaty finish lingers with smoke, cocoa, and a touch of salt.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with enveloping peat and sea-salt, then a drying echo of ash and mineral bite. Subtle dark chocolate and leather drift in briefly, before a warm, sustained fade that lingers like a coastal bonfire.
