Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany undertones and a sunlit glow.
Nose
Sherry-soaked aroma of dark fruits—raisin, fig, plum—coats rich oak and cocoa. Hints of orange zest, toffee, vanilla, and spice unfold with a whisper of leather. A maritime saltiness and almond notes deepen Jura’s coastal character, while the 18-year maturation lends a refined, velvety lift.
Palate
Silky and weighty, it coats the palate with dark fruit and cocoa. Rich raisin, fig and orange zest mingle with warm spice—clove and cinnamon—behind a maritime, sea-salted edge. Sherried depth wraps elegant oak; the high ABV gives a warming, long finish with cocoa, dates, and a subtle, smoky echo.
Finish
Long, warming and elegant, the finish lingers with sherry sweetness—fig and raisin—interwoven with cocoa, toffee and espresso. Rich oak and warm spice unfold slowly, while a whisper of maritime salt adds dimension, fading to a velvety, persistent glow.
