Matured in American white oak ex-bourbon and hand selected American Rye barrels, the casks deliver depth and complexity to this 14 year old Single Malt with layered spice, aromatic, herbal and floral qualities.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich amber-gold with sunlit honey depth and a coppery glow.

Nose

Fresh citrus and vanilla form the opening arc, while herbal and floral undercurrents from the American Rye casks lift the aroma, releasing hints of mango, fresh mint and crushed almonds.

Palate

Toffee-apple richness on entry, evolving into pecan-pie depth. Layered cinnamon spice with vibrant vanilla, honey and cacao, all carried by a nutty hazelnut finish that glides into warm, toasted oak.

Finish

Warm and nutty, the finish lingers with toffee and maple syrup, touched by guava sweetness and soft wood spices, weaving a delicate endnote of comforting spice.

Jura
(isle-o’-JEW-ra) Jura was founded in 1810 by Archibald Campbell, Laird of Jura, and was originally known as Small Isles Distillery. The island’s name is widely traced to Old Norse for “deer island”, with red deer still far outnumbering the human residents. The distillery was officially licensed in 1831, later passed to James Ferguson & Sons, and closed in 1901 before remaining silent for more than six decades.
