Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Opulent, honeyed malt opens the nose, mingling vanilla with ripe orchard fruit—pear and baked apple—with citrus zest. Faint toffee, almond, and subtle oak build complexity, while spice notes of cinnamon and clove weave through the aroma. At cask strength, the bouquet is bold yet refined, delivering a warm, creamy, long-lingering finish.
Palate
Silky and robust, this Inverleven reveals sherry-led abundance: dark raisin, fig and toffee mingle with orange zest and honey. Oak-spice hints—cinnamon and clove—linger over a velvety palate, while cocoa and almond add depth. The cask-strength warmth carries to a long, refined finish of dried fruit and oak.
Finish
A long, elegant finish wafts from warm oak into citrus blossom and dried fruits, with a gentle spice note building and then softly receding. Vanilla-kissed sweetness lingers, leaving a polished, refined undertone that invites prolonged contemplation.
