The mindset for Embra was to create a whisky that resembled a gateway to the world of peated whisky. Embra has been triple matured in a combination of first fill bourbon barrels, Islay quarter casks, and New American oak barrels.
Edinburgh is the gateway to Scotland for many people and this is the idea at the heart of this spirit. Embra finds the perfect balance between capturing the classic bold smoky flavours and textures of peated whisky while remaining accessible to a new whisky drinker.

Colour
Rich amber-gold with a warm copper glow and a honey-bronze edge.
Nose
A bright lemon zest opens the aroma, with hints of horse chestnut pith, a cool peppermint lift, and a delicate wisp of light hickory smoke.
Palate
Wafer biscuit leads to dark chocolate mousse, with notes of earthy highland peat smoke.
Finish
Light stewed pears linger, weaving into a clean, well-rounded finish. A delicate orchard sweetness persists, with a faint kiss of smoke and spice fading to a crisp, refined glow.
