After the dark comes the light, the release of "The Dark" early in 2018 showcased Highland Park in Ex-Sherry casks and now "The Light" showcases 100% refill American oak cask aged Highland Park and completes the series of two expressions.
Like The Dark it is a limited release of 28,000 bottles and bottled at natural colour and non chill filtered and at cask strength of 52.9%
The Light and The Dark both have the distinctive matching packaging of bespoke oak frame and booklet with the serpent dragon embossed on the front of the glass that takes its inspiration from the viking ancestry of the Orkney Islands.

On the palate, sweet heather peat teams with nutmeg and vanilla, giving way to caramelised pear and cedar wood, with a subtle kiss of light peat smoke. Rich, balanced and warmly long, carried by the spirit's cask-strength grace.
Finish
Long, warm finish with soft heather peat smoke, vanilla and caramelised pear. Nutmeg and cedar weave through the sweetness, leaving a refined, oaked finish that lingers with elegance.
