Highland Park Spring 2019 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky 25 Year Old · 1994 Vintage
Out of stock
Highland Park 25 Year Old is drawn from a vatting of fewer than 20 casks, hand selected by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion. The whisky brings together sherry-seasoned European oak casks with first-fill bourbon and refill casks, creating a style that feels both richly matured and finely balanced. Laid down in Kirkwall and aged within Highland Park’s own warehouses at the distillery, it is a whisky shaped not just by long maturation, but by the particular conditions of Orkney and the distillery’s careful cask management over time.
At 25 years old, it offers plenty of depth and weight, but there is still a vibrant side to it. Warm vanilla, buttery fudge and heather honey sit alongside soft dried fruits, with the long maturation adding polish rather than heaviness. The finish is smooth and lingering, with gentle heathery peat smoke and a faint salty sea-spray note that feels unmistakably Highland Park. Its rich golden colour comes entirely from the casks, with no additives, underlining the distillery’s traditional approach.
