Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with warm copper highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Elegant and resinous, the nose opens with warm cloves and cardamom, swirling with dried raisin and fig. Sherry-oak depth from first-fill casks lends dark, honeyed sweetness, while vanilla and caramel glow beneath a stroke of heathery peat smoke. A subtle maritime edge and a whisper of leather complete this poised, age-worthy aroma.
Palate
Silky and layered, this 26-year Highland Park opens with warm raisin sweetness woven with cloves and cardamom. First-fill sherry and bourbon casks add depth and a resinous lift, while a light heathery peat threads through, carrying a gentle smoke. The palate stays refined and balanced, with a long, lingering finish of spice, fruit, and a touch of leather.
Finish
An elegant, lingering finish of warm spice and dried fruit, where clove and cardamom meet raisin sweetness, fading into a soft heathery peat and sherry-driven oak that lingers with refined dryness and a final smoky whisper.
