Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany-tinted depth and a burnished gold glow, a warm coppery sheen that hints at sherry influence.
Nose
Peated and maritime at first, then sweetened by honeyed heather. Aromas of orange zest and orchard fruit mingle with rich sherry notes - fig, raisin and dried berry - stoked by vanilla, toffee and toasted oak, with a delicate coastal salt kiss.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, it coats the palate with honeyed sweetness and a nuanced peat smoke. Dried fruit, fig and orange zest mingle with toffee, vanilla and sherry-driven spice. Cinnamon, clove and pepper add warmth, while oak and a whisper of maritime notes linger into a long, balanced finish.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish coats the palate with honeyed vanilla and toasted oak, while a subtle peat smoke lingers beneath sherry-influenced fruit. Dried orange, fig and almond notes drift into a gentle spice, finishing with a maritime salt and chocolatey sweetness that lingers softly.
