This single cask Scotch whisky was distilled at Highland Park Distillery, on Orkney Islands, on the 21st of May 1991. The new spirit was filled into a 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, cask number 15088, where it remained until bottling in 2023.
A lovely rich amber in colour, the 32 years in cask have created a beautifully rich liquid with sweet pomegranate, cranberries, old leather and a soft layer of peat smoke. The mouthfeel is luscious and expansive with a long, satisfying finish. The colour of the whisky reflects only the natural impact from the cask during maturation.
This wisky was disgorged and bottled under the supervision of Andrew Symington the distillery manager on the 4th of October 2023.

Opulent Oloroso warmth floods the nose: red fruits—pomegranate and cranberry—woven with plum and fig, ribbons of toffee and dark spice. Aged leather anchors the bouquet, while a delicate thread of peat smoke and cacao linger, hinting at the sherry-soaked depth to come.
Palate
Silky, luscious on the palate, it unfurls with bright notes of pomegranate and cranberry beneath a soft veil of peat smoke, enriched by sherry-cask sweetness. Leather and dried-fruit undertones emerge as the mouthfeel expands, guiding a long, satisfying finish.
Finish
Long, luxurious and refined, the finish unfolds with persistent sherry sweetness, dark fruit, and leather, punctuated by a subtle, enduring peat smoke that gradually fades to a warm, velvety finale.
