"The hallmark of Highland Park production, an all-pervading obsession with quality and attention to detail, can be discerned in the distinctive aromatic, full-bodied floral sweetness of the whisky. The glory of Highland Park lies in its remarkable balance, this is as evident in the 1970 Vintage as in all other expressions." - Max McFarlane.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a copper-gold glow and subtle mahogany edging.
Nose
Straight away, Highland Park reveals honey sweetness, followed by caramelised pineapple and a lemon-peel citrus kick. With a touch of water, sweet oak notes emerge alongside nasturtium petals and a whisper of spicy woodsmoke.
Palate
At natural strength it presents a beguiling duet of vanilla and coriander seeds, softly aromatic and sweet. A drop of water reveals toasted peat smoke layered with cedar wood, lending warmth, coastal resin, and a poised, spiced finish.
Finish
Satisfyingly sweet and spicy, it lingers with an exceptionally long, drying finish that leaves a refined warmth.
