Highland Park 2022 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky 25 Year Old

Highland Park 25 Year Old is drawn from a vatting of fewer than 20 casks, hand selected by Gordon Motion, Master Whisky Maker at Highland Park. Sherry-seasoned European oak casks are combined with first-fill bourbon and refill casks, creating a whisky with real depth, balance and complexity. Matured at the distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, across Highland Park’s 19 dunnage and 4 racked warehouses, it reflects the careful, long-term cask management that sits at the heart of the distillery’s style.

At 25 years old, it is full-bodied and richly mature, yet it still carries a lively sweetness through the palate. Notes of warm vanilla, buttery fudge and heather honey sit alongside softer dried fruits, while the finish is long, smooth and unmistakably Highland Park, with heathery peat smoke and a faint whisper of salty sea spray. Rich gold with warm copper tones, its colour comes entirely from the casks themselves.
