Single Cask Distillery Bottling

Our second single cask release was created with Black Flag Brewery based in Perranporth, Cornwall.

They created a stunning English pale ale using 100% pale malt and Nottingham yeast. The beer was triple distilled on Tuesday, 4th June 2019, by our Head Distiller, Balazs Schieber, using the largest of our stills, Jackson. The distillate was then aged in a bourbon cask in the shadow of St Michael's Mount.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with a sun-kissed warmth and bronze undertones.

Nose

Unmistakable aroma of English pale ale, with biscuity malt, sun-warmed grain and a whisper of hops—a clean, beer-born sweetness that hints at the spirit’s lineage.

Palate

Silky vanilla and caramel mingle with biscuity notes, delivering a gentle, biscuit-like sweetness and a creamy texture that lingers into a warm, softly spiced finish.

Finish

Long, warming finish of vanilla and caramel, with lingering biscuity malt and a soft oak kiss from the bourbon cask, leaving a toasted, comforting sweetness on the palate.
