Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with mahogany depths and a warm ruby glow.
Nose
Opulent PX sherry aromas envelop the glass: dark raisins, fig paste and prune mingle with chocolate, toffee and treacle. Subtle orange zest and vanilla creep in, supported by polished oak and a whisper of spice, delivering a velvety, syrupy sweetness that hints at a refined Speyside finish.
Palate
Silky, velvety palate with a plush Pedro Ximénez cloak of sweetness—raisin, fig and prune—layered with dark chocolate and toffee. Subtle orange zest, spice and coffee lift weave through refined oak for a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long, luxurious and richly sherried, the finish pours out dried fig and raisin with dark chocolate and toffee, lightly brightened by orange zest. A lingering PX sweetness sits on velvety oak and spice, warming to a refined, mouth-coating glow.
