Glenrothes Vintage Release 2nd Edition Whisky 23 Year Old · 1992 Vintage

A vatting of refill sherry casks and American hogshead have gone into this 1992 vintage. Originally released in 2004, a selection of casks were held back for further maturation and then bottled in 2015, making this, the 2nd edition of the 1992, a 23 year old, vintage whisky.

A lightly sweet and fruity nose, with vanilla pod, lychee, citrus fruits and vanilla. The palate is very classic Glenrothes, sweet, medium full in body with vanilla, buttercream, cardomom, lemons/orange peel along with sweet spice and nuttiness. The finish is fruity and creamy with the sherried element coming through with a lovely late flavour of blood orange and sultanas.
