The Infrequent Flyers range is a series of independent single cask bottlings from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, created to showcase distinctive and often unusual casks from distilleries across Scotland. Bottled in small batches or as single casks, Infrequent Flyers whiskies are typically presented without chill filtration or added colouring, often at natural cask strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and personality to shine through. Tasting Notes
Nose
A heavy, wine-drenched aroma, with red wine notes underpinning ripe red plums and black grapes. Boiled sweets lend sweetness, while a whisper of dark chocolate and a hint of sweet BBQ sauce add depth.
Palate
Sweet and fruity, but not overwhelmingly so – it’ a refill, so the foot is slightly off the gas. Honeycomb, Demerara sugar, marzipan, stewed sultanas and cinnamon spice.
Finish
A touch of cracked black pepper concludes everything nicely.
