Glenrothes Infrequent Flyers Single Sherry Cask #170 Whisky 10 Year Old · 2012 Vintage
Out of stock
The Infrequent Flyers range is a series of independent single cask bottlings from the Alistair Walker Whisky Company, created to showcase distinctive and often unusual casks from distilleries across Scotland. Each release highlights the unique character of an individual cask, with selections often coming from distilleries or cask types that are rarely seen as single malt releases.
Bottled in small batches or as single casks, Infrequent Flyers whiskies are typically presented without chill filtration or added colouring, often at natural cask strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and personality to shine through. The name itself reflects the rarity of these releases - whiskies that appear only occasionally, offering enthusiasts the chance to experience something a little different from the ordinary.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany glow.
Nose
A heavy, wine-drenched aroma, with red wine notes underpinning ripe red plums and black grapes. Boiled sweets lend sweetness, while a whisper of dark chocolate and a hint of sweet BBQ sauce add depth.
Palate
Sweet and fruity, but never heavy—it's a refill, so the gas is gently held in reserve. Honeycomb sweetness blends with Demerara sugar, marzipan and stewed sultanas, finished with warm cinnamon spice.
Finish
Cracked black pepper lingers, delivering a final kiss of spice that dances with dark fruit sweetness and toasted oak, leaving a warm, enduring finish.
