Glendullan Flora & Fauna Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old
Out of stock
Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
Gradually as distilleries were commercialised, closed or sold, the range of Flora and Fauna contracted, leaving these select remaining bottles collectable. Most often blended, whisky from each of these distilleries is rarely bottled as single malt, making each bottle from this collection even more rare.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with a burnished copper glow, deepened by sherry cask influence.
Nose
An inviting, honeyed bouquet of ripe orchard fruits—apple, pear, peach—launched with vanilla and a whisper of toffee. Sherry-tinged depth brings dried fig and raisin, a touch of almond and cocoa, and a warming kiss of spice that lingers with polished oak.
Palate
Silky and medium-bodied, the palate opens with honeyed orchard fruit, vanilla and a subtle sherry sweetness. Rich dried fig and raisin glaze layer over toasted almond and walnut, while gentle spice—nutmeg and clove—stirs through the oak. Creamy toffee and citrus zest thread a bright counterpoint, leading to a persistent, warm finish of cocoa, espresso and spice.
Finish
Silky and long, the finish dissolves into caramel, orange zest, and almonds, with dried fruit sweetness. A gentle spice rises, then recedes to warm oak, leaving a lasting whisper of sherry and refinement.
