Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery glow and rich mahogany undertones
Nose
Opulent and aromatic, this Glen Garioch unfurls in layers of dark fruit and oak. Dried figs and raisins mingle with treacle and cocoa, while orange zest and sandalwood bring citrus and spice. A refined sherry halo adds warmth, with subtle vanilla and a whisper of leather, promising a luxurious, time-evolved nose.
Palate
Silky and deeply concentrated, this palate unfolds with dark cherry and fig, layered over polished oak. Rich sherry spice—cinnamon, clove and orange zest—weaves through velvet cacao, raisin and a whisper of tobacco. Elegant warmth from 46.9% ABV underpins a long finish where resinous oak meets dried fruit, with a hint of saline and spice lingering.
Finish
Long, graceful finish that unfolds with warm, polished oak and delicate spice. Dried fruit and honey emerge, carried by a soft vanilla nuance, then a final kiss of cocoa and almond lingers, leaving a refined warmth and a touch of citrus zest that slowly fades.
